The secrets of a perfect trip

How to create an unforgettable adventure

Thinking of planning a family or company trip?
Planning carefully is the key to creating unforgettable memories that keep all travel companions happy.
Read first. Read a lot and everywhere, let yourself be guided by instinct and write down the things that stimulate the right vibration.
You can point your finger at a spinning globe and choose to go where chance takes you, challenging your ability to push the limits of the mind.
You can also choose a destination following in the wake of an event that interests you, for example you might want to see the world finals of your favorite sport or the concert of your favorite band, so why not take the opportunity to explore a new destination?
You can also simply and traditionally choose a travel destination by natural interest.
Always prefer quality: if your budget is limited, choose to stay less, choose a closer destination, but don't give up on pampering yourself. Life is too short not to give yourself the best.
Whatever the lever that prompts you to think about a trip, let it act freely, because this is truly the first step towards experiencing an unforgettable adventure.
Think a little about all your travel companions. If you are traveling as a family, as a couple or with friends, it is important to choose a destination that satisfies everyone's needs, even the little ones.
Everyone must be able to feel the anticipation of his moment, must be able to feel considered in the economy of the journey.
This is a fundamental aspect to build a fulfilling trip. Everyone's enthusiasm will also affect the others at different times and make the experience more shared and more complete.

Now begins the most challenging part: the construction of the trip.
You can rely on those who do this for a living, dictating your essential musts. Consider that their industry experience can make the difference between a quality trip and one that leaves a bad taste in your mouth. However, always contact highly professional tourist agents.
Or you can do it yourself.
We generally choose to do it ourselves but entrusting ourselves to income tour operators who know their territory well. Thanks to the web, you can easily contact them or get local guides suggested by those who have been to that place before you. If you search well on social networks, you will find a lot of people to ask for advice before leaving. Not all tips may be useful for you, but they are always food for thought.
When you read guides, blogs, reviews, newspaper articles on the place you have chosen, take notes in a notebook, digital or paper, as you like best to start building your puzzle.
It can be a particularly attractive location, an exhibition, a building, an activity, a hotel or a restaurant: anything that strikes your chords is worth considering.
Maybe you won't be able to do all these things during your trip, but in the meantime write them down somewhere, dividing them by category: activities, destinations, overnight stays.
When you have a good number of entries, start arranging them on a map and evaluating the movements necessary to touch them all.
If your trip is limited to one city and its environs this aspect is less critical. You will only have to evaluate how to reach your destination (car, train or plane) and how to move once there.
Always consider well all the possibilities:

  • Car: having your own car gives you absolute freedom of movement. In these cases you will only have to worry about checking the car parks in the busiest areas, especially if you have a car full of luggage, it is a good idea to leave it in supervised car parks to avoid unpleasant surprises.
  • Public transport: it can be advantageous to use public transport especially in large cities with a good underground or surface transport service. Think of cities like Paris or London where having a car can be a hindrance rather than an advantage: the subway really takes you wherever you want to go.
  • Taxi: there are airlines in the world where getting around by taxi is really cheap and objectively very comfortable. In the Arab Emirates or in any case in the Middle East the cost of petrol is really low and this, consequently, is reflected in the cost of the taxi service.

If, on the other hand, your trip involves a more or less articulated itinerary, you will have to pay more attention to both the means available and the times. In these cases, carefully evaluate the distances between one stage and another and keep some margins to manage any delays.
Always remember that you are traveling for pleasure and don't have to take a tour de force to see the impossible. Maybe take one stop less but enjoy your time. The destination does not escape and what you fail to see on one occasion will be a great excuse to come back a second time.
When you have aligned your itinerary with the available travel days, start looking for overnight stays and local operators who can offer you unique experiences.
Consider that in some countries it is more reassuring and more comfortable to rely on vehicles with a private driver. It is ultimately not as expensive as you might think and it is certainly a solution that pampers you. We have experienced it in several countries and the enjoyment of the journey is truly thoughtless. The driver is always at your disposal and a beautiful and intimate relationship is established that puts you in touch with the local culture and lets you discover curiosities outside the tourist routes.
Also in the choice of overnight stays it finds solutions that satisfy your well-being. It's not just about rooms to sleep in, it's about experiences to live.
The eye wants its part and it's right: surround yourself with beauty, services, comfort.
And last but not least, a few words about activities.
What will make a journey unforgettable will be the depth of emotions you will experience: don't visit a museum because everyone does it, choose it because you are passionate about it or a travel companion is passionate about it and live it to the fullest with an expert guide who accompanies you or at least with a audio guide.
Taste the local food and wine and visit traditional places. It is a privileged way to immerse yourself in the local culture.
Look at everything from every possible point of view. In this sense, traveling in company is truly enriching because the different sensitivities in comparison allow you to broaden your mind and grasp aspects that you would not be able to do alone.
Take many photos and publish them on your social channels, spread the beauty of the world and the approach to quality life, which we need so much.

Have a good trip!
